At its annual Sessions conference (April 29–30, 2026), Stripe announced 288 products and features, the most notable being Link—a digital wallet that lets AI agents make purchases on a user's behalf without ever exposing real payment credentials. The flow requires explicit user approval for each spend request; Stripe then issues a one-time-use virtual card for that transaction only. Stripe also announced a partnership to embed merchant checkout inside Google's Gemini and AI Mode search, adding to existing agentic commerce integrations with OpenAI, Microsoft, and Meta.
