AWS on April 22 added three features to Bedrock AgentCore: a managed harness (preview) that deploys a working agent in three API calls with no orchestration code, handling compute, authentication, and persistent filesystem automatically—including mid-task suspend and resume; an infrastructure-as-code CLI supporting CDK (Terraform coming) for promoting prototypes to production; and pre-built skills giving coding assistants up-to-date AgentCore guidance. The managed harness reduces setup from days to minutes, while the skills initially ship for Kiro Power with Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor support following the next week. All features are available at no additional charge across 14 AWS regions.
