Amazon is investing $5 billion in Anthropic immediately—on top of the $8 billion previously committed—with potential for up to $25 billion total, per a joint announcement. In return, Anthropic commits more than $100 billion over the next decade to AWS infrastructure including Trainium2 through Trainium4 chips, targeting nearly 5 gigawatts of capacity.
