Avid and Google Cloud announced a multi-year strategic partnership to integrate Gemini models and Vertex AI into Avid's professional media tools, including Media Composer—the industry-standard nonlinear editing system—and a newly launched cloud-native SaaS platform called Avid Content Core. The integration enables natural-language search across media archives using visual context, dialogue, or emotional cues, plus agentic workflows that autonomously handle metadata logging, B-roll generation, and style matching. Both companies will demonstrate the tools at NAB Show in Las Vegas on April 19–22, 2026.
