Chad Rigetti's post-Rigetti Computing startup Sygaldry closed a $105M Series A led by Breakthrough Energy Ventures on top of a $34M seed, bringing total funding to $139M. The company is building servers that combine quantum and classical hardware to reduce the energy cost of running large AI models, targeting commercial availability around the end of the decade. Rigetti describes the thesis as quantum being "a fundamentally more efficient way of translating power into intelligence."
